Waynetown - Mrs. Nettie Ann Little, 97, died at 3 a.m. Sunday at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Mary Mullen, of Rt. 2, Waynetown. She had been seriously ill one week. Born Oct. 14, 1865, southwest of Alamo, she was a daughter of William J. and Sarah Brown Bowerman. She married Guy Little June 3, 1884. He died in 1947. After their marriage Mr. and Mrs. Little farmed in Ripley and Wayne townships until 1944 when they retired and moved here. After Mr. Little’s death Mrs. Little lived most of the time at her daughter’s home. Educated at Alamo, she was a charter member of the Rebekah Lodge. Since 1883 she had been a member of the Waynetown Baptist Church. She also was a member of the Ladies Aid Society of the church. Survivors include the daughter with whom she made her home; a son-in-law, John Mullen of Waynetown; a brother, C. E. Bowerman of Lafayette; a sister, Mrs. Orpha Reed of Lansing, Mich.; a granddaughter, Mrs. Elizabeth Kirkpatrick of Waynetown; two great-grandsons, John and Lee Kirkpatrick, both of Waynetown; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Clare; two brothers and four sisters. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Servies Funeral Home here with Rev. John R. Servies officiating. Interment will be in the Masonic Cemetery here. Friends may pay their respects at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Monday.
